PATIENCE

This is the time of year when I feel as if all I am doing is "waiting". The Christmas holidays are over, and really unless I suddenly become an avid fan of participating in outdoor winter sports there isn't much to look forward to except Spring. Come on Spring!

I'm waiting for the bright green of newly budding leaves. I'm waiting for the first signs of flowers. Oh and before I get too carried away into the future, I'm even waiting for the energy to take down my Christmas tree! Yes people it's still in my living room and I just need to get hubby to haul all of the storage buckets up from the basement for me.

I'm waiting for other things too. Like my hair to go silvery white, just like my Mom's was. I'm 2 years away from being 60 years old, haven't I earned the right for beautiful white hair?? But noooooo, I take after my Dad's side. I have only a few strands of it here and there mixed in with my brunette. I want silver! I'm WAITING!

I'm waiting for the sun to pop back out from behind a solid bank of cloud that we've had for 2 days. Unless it's hotter than heck summertime weather (when I hate the sun and refer to it as "that f*cking fireball in the sky"), I want the sunshine! It makes me feel energized and centered. When it's cloudy for too long I feel sleepy, groggy, devoid of energy, and almost "closed in" if that makes sense. I do love a good summer storm, but hey it's winter and I want my sunshine back.
So I wait.......

And where is my morning coffee? The coffee pot is in the dishwasher. So naturally I'm waiting for the dishwasher cycle to finish too.

But I have to admit, amidst all of this waiting I'm doing so fairly patiently if I do say so myself. I've been known for being impatient at times (just you shut your cake hole sister Pammie) but even she would most likely admit that I AM getting the hang of some of that patience stuff with a lot of things in this lifetime full of lesson learning. Maybe I'm even waiting for more of that too, but that's footwork that needs to be done, rather than just w.a.i.t.i.n.g. for it to happen.

This could go on forever if you really think about it. I'm waiting for my 3 weeks vacation in September. (I start the countdown for that every year on the day I go back to work) And I'm waiting for that big lottery win. I'm waiting for my oh-so-far-off retirement!!

But it isn't doom and gloom you know. I'm happy enough. And my next post will be of a more "in the now" and "living in the present" theme, promise.

You'll see, just you wait.

PEACE!
Love Jude

We are all waiting for something and learning lessons along the way Jude. I think the two go hand in hand most times. For example, I'm waiting for that elusive peace of mind and clarity of thought that comes with solid decisions. And I'm having to learn how to make those solid decisions as well.

*hugs*

I'm waiting for it to be warm enough to go riding again. If I'm lucky, that will be Saturday. Sometimes you don't have to wait very long.

Well, as I recall it, if we told Mom, she would tell Dad and then ------we'd both be "askeered"!!

I feel the same blah when the weather stays gray. I feel unmotivated and crappy. I love the springtime as well when everything is coming alive with such a vibrancy. We are having a rainy, blah day today :(

BRING ON THE SPRING!!!

Thanks to El Nino the last few weeks have been pretty good weather wise and the daylight hours are now noticeably longer than they were a month ago. Spring and summer is coming!

You're right Dick, I mentioned to a co-worker just the other day that it was getting noticeable in the mornings!

Ooh...patience...I never did get the hang of that! Right now I'm 'patiently' waiting for my next trip over the pond (less than 8 weeks now) while beginning to plot my next one too. You see, if I start planning the one for the late summer then the March one will just arrive kind of out of nowhere. Oh yes Jude..there is definitely method somewhere in my madness :)

Sounds like everyone has a case of the post-Christmas blahs. As Dick mentioned, we're having an El Nino winter so it's been pretty mild. I'm waiting to see if any snow will fall on the mountains in time for the Olympics.

Take care and have a great weekend.

I'm waiting for your next post! :)

Waiting is a pain but once you do it long enough eventually you get used to it. I've done it lots but I'm still not used to it. Like you I've gotten better at it but I don't know that I'll ever master waiting.

As for your hair, there is always dye and you can make it any color you want. You could even have rainbow hair if you wanted. Wouldn't that make you master the waiting game, waiting for the color to fade! :)

Hang in there it wil all fall into place soon enough.

I'm always waiting for something too ... like my hair to grow longer, but it is getting there slowly but surely :D
We've had some nice Winter weather on LI ... not too cold or windy, so I can deal and wait for Spring.
Have a good week, Sista, and I hope you can take down your Christmas tree very soon!

I'm glad to hear your weather is pretty mild, we got really spoiled here and now it's turned a bit colder again. Not a biggie though!

I can't wait to see your next photo installment of your new "do" Sista Janna! :-)

Have a lovely week, love you! xox
