THESE LOVELY WARM BONES
After having a short spell of freezing temperatures before Christmas, we are now enjoying daytime highs in the mid 40's(F) and it's positively spring like! During our grocery run yesterday it was so pleasant being outdoors in the sunshine and warmth. It's only January though so we could still hit some cold shite yet.
We have a new blogger in our midst, someone I met through fellow blogger just returned from Iraq (welcome home Orion!), she's from the U.K. and I think she's already a great addition to our midst. Drop byMary Poppins Diane's Blog and say hello, I know you'll like her!
In our household (which consists of hubby and myself upstairs, and sister Pammie in the suite downstairs) we've got some great news to share. Well, it's great for us! Hubby finally got some hearing aids! We are no longer forced to listen soley to whatever HE is watching on his blaring TV as it isn't so loud anymore. And we don't have to constantly repeat ourselves by almost yelling at him, LOL!
Now if we could just surgically remove his snorer thingy..... argh.
If you haven't yet voted, head on over to Stardom Awaits! and enjoy the photos in our "Yuletide" photo contest. The winner(s) will be announced here (and over there) at the end of this week. Thanks!
Take good care of each other, and until next time......
PEACE!
Love Jude

So glad that hubby got his hearing aids :) That will be a great relief to you and your ears, lol!
Oh and your link to Diane's blog takes you back to yours ;)
Well that IS weird that Diane's link takes you here Melly, it works at this end, and the html coding for it shows her web addy. Not sure why it doesn't work for you.....????
Yes it's GREAT since hubby can hear again!
Thank you Jude - what lovely words. I'm so very much enjoying being a fellow blogger and you have all made me feel so very welcome :)
A pillow over the face does wonders for snoring! :) (YES I'm only kidding).
Hearing Aids, yep they are a God send. I wish my partner would wear his. It was great for a couple months then the newness wore off and now they just rot in a box.
Glad your weather is warmer. I wish I could say the same for us, but that will happen eventually.
Keep on keepin' on. I've begun my countdown to the weekend. Despite being on-call it should be a good weekend!
Diane: I'm glad you're enjoying it, welcome to our world!
Jer: You crack me up! A pillow held on his face isn't exactly a new idea to me, especially at 4 a.m. when I still can't get to sleep, LOL!
I hope the week goes swiftly for you Jer, and you can enjoy the weekend!
Your link on your side bar works, just not the one you have in your post. ?
We have been very warm, too, in the Puget Sound area. We went to a movie yesterday afternoon and when on our way home about 16:30 the car thermometer said it was 61 degrees. Of course that also came with over an inch of rain!
Dick: Holy cow that IS warm! Enjoy!
Melly: Aaaahhhhh I see now! LOL Sorry Melly, sorry Diane, sorry everyone! 'Tis fixed now!
Wish you'd send some of that weather this way. It's FREEZING out here.
Rocker Guy: Nuh-uh, you have to come visit here! And bring your guitar! *grin*
Seriously, I hope it warms up for you soon too.
If you figure out a way to cure the snorer thingy without permanently damaging hubby, let me know, I have one i'd like to try it on! LOL
It's a deal Tracers!
It's pretty balmy here too but we're getting lots of rain. Not good news for the mountains. With the Olympics coming, they need SNOW!!
I know what you mean about the blaring TV...my hubby has hearing problems too.
Take care and hope all is well in your corner of the world.
Oh dear, I hope they're not overly short on snow for the Olympics. Fingers crossed!
Good luck with the snoring thing Bobbie, we both need it, LOL!
The weather certainly has been wonderful the last few days. What a beautiful change from that horrid December deep-freeze we had.
And yes, thank the gods for hearing aids!!! Woo-hoo!!! (big grin and happy dance)
Looks like it's supposed to keep up with the nice temperatures for the next several days too! And yup I thought you'd be enjoying the hearing aids, LOL!
