IT'S LIKE DODGING BULLETS

Well here I am, still managing to stay relatively healthy, in the midst of a housefull of sick people. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!! My hubby is still sick, and it's been a few weeks now, and my sister Pam is still not feeling great.
And now my visiting sister Linda has been here for a few days and she's so sick, poor thing, that she is up for an hour or two and needs to go lay down again. So, needless to say, trying to dodge all the viruses in my house is like dodging bullets..... I'm desperately trying not to get sick too, most people where I work are getting hit with one thing or the other too. Yesterday I felt a twinge in my throat and to be on the safe side I loaded myself up with echinacea and Vitamin C, and did it again this morning....... so FINGIES CROSSED!

Well it was a nice quiet New Year's Eve for us....... we just sat around and visited, reminisced and had some laughs. We were all pretty sure we wouldn't make it till midnight (doesn't seem to be the big deal it was when we were young ) but we managed to stay up until just after 11:30 p.m. before we all crashed, LOL. Gettin' OLD! It's soooo cold here right now, we're in the middle of a deep freeze, but that just makes being indoors, and a nice cozy bed, feel even more inviting and warm. It's pretty outside with all the fluffy snow, particularly on days like today when the sun is sparkling off it, but it doesn't make for being out there too long unless you're in your car, LOL. But it's warming up again in the next day or so, so that's okay.

I've still got Monday off, as we're closed for New Years then. But then back to the grind on Tuesday! The start of a new year, and we'll see what it brings! And I see by my pill bottle that it's that time of year again...... once a year I go for blood tests to check out the cholesterol, and get my prescription filled. I'm on Lipitor, probably for life. But it's doing the job of keeping the bad cholesterol down, and I don't want to end up like my Dad. (he passed away at 49 yrs. of age) His whole family, his brothers and his dad, all had high cholesterol and arterial disease because of it. So it runs in the family and so far I'm the only one of us sisters that has a problem with it.

Well peeps it's about that time....... I'll leave you with a "God bless" and wish you all a good night. Until next time, be good to yourselves and take care!
**PEACE**
Love Jude
