THE SKY'S THE LIMIT

Well some of you might have figured out that I have a "thing" for beautiful pics of the sky in all it's splendour: sunrises, sunsets, cloud formations, etc. etc. etc.

I was outside YET AGAIN last night trying to capture the most brilliant colours as the sun started to go down.

Hubby was working away on the front yard while I was out back getting some shots..... he came running around the back to tell me I should come out front and see a rainbow.... well by the time I got there it had started to fade but I managed to catch a bit of it.

(damn just moments before it was vibrant, he said...)

The thing is, I have racked up so many "sky" shots over the last while that I want to do something with them, and not just have them sitting on my computer. So, I figured I'd start posting one of two of them at a time when I blog. Today though, here are several....

Here are a couple more of last night's sunset. The sky was overcast and dark, but the sun setting added brilliant reds, oranges and pinks to the west, and even gave the clouds to the east (which were REALLY dark) a sickly pinkish hue.

These are out front looking west, can't see as much of the sunset here as you can in the backyard:

Out front facing east:

(Yep, hubby's ugly ol' one-ton flatbed "working around the house" truck)

The sun was setting really fast now, so I went around to the back yard again to get another few shots of the end of it.

I have some pretty cool moon shots too of late. This one, taken a few weeks ago BEFORE I bought a tripod, had extremely pretty colours in the clouds. However, because my hands were not steady enough to get a good shot without blurring, it didn't turn out very well. Oh well, you can probably get the idea.....

A tripod is an absolute necessity when doing night shots!

Hope you enjoyed looking up as much as I did! *wink*

Have a great week chicks and dudes, take good care of each other!

PEACE!
Love Jude
