SHADOW DANCING

*Whew*!!! My first day off in a week, so I thought I'd best touch base with you all.

The sun is shining and it's still warmer out (feels downright balmy after the deep freeze we had) but there's still a LOT of snow out there. It's hard not to get stuck on some of the side streets in the city, not to mention the back alleys. The city's snow removal budget is stupid. We live in Alberta for heaven's sake but every year after the first flakes fall, we hear the same thing: our snow removal budget is used up. HUH???

So they plow the main thoroughfares and any bus routes but everything else gets left. This is our street out front:






Well lo and behold, I heard that they ARE plowing the sidestreets, it's been years since they've "found the budget" to do that here. They even used to plow the back alleys. Not sure when our street will be done but it will be a blessing!

While enjoying my time at home today (and doing laundry) I noticed this morning that something I see all the time looked good enough to take some pictures of. So I got out my camera and took some shots of "Shadow Dancing" around the house:

And to my good friend Vickytoria, welcome to motherhood! Vicky just gave birth to her first child, a daughter her and Chris have named Emma Victoria. I LOVE THAT NAME!! (pssst! Vicky did you know that you picked one of the names I sent you?) Hee Hee

Congratulations Vic, and I sure can't wait to hug you and see that beautiful girl of yours!
