QUIET IN BLOGLAND

The last few times I've visited my blog links only a few have been regularly posting; it must be the approaching holiday season busy-ness. And with everything going on here I haven't posted quite as often either although I try to get something up here at least weekly.

We went to my sister Brenda's last night for a visit and she's doing pretty good. She's still in a lot of pain and now has something going on in her tummy area where they took some tissue. She's seeing the doctor on Tuesday so we'll find out more then.

Just over a week ago (when Brenda had her surgery) we had scheduled 2 days in a row for our new furnace to be installed. Hmph! After the second day, they still weren't finished and had to come back again the next day (Saturday), but they left at noon so we could finally get to the hospital to see Brenda. They STILL weren't finished and said they'd come back the following Thursday (my first day off in the week) but they never showed! Hubby phoned the company late that afternoon to complain/inquire and the boss said they'd be out there the next day for sure (Friday) and they STILL didn't show!

Needless to say we're getting rather angry. They are scheduled to come out this Thursday again to finish, and they'd better be here!

The whole time this is going on, all of the tons of things we had in the storage area in our basement had to come upstairs so they had room to work down there. My living room and dining room are piled high with all of this stuff, and there isn't one square inch of floor space to put up my Christmas tree. :-(

And we can't put it all back downstairs until after the job is finished, cleaned up, AND the government inspector is scheduled back here. Who knows when that might happen, it may not be until after Christmas now. So I don't get a Christmas tree this year and I'm pretty bummed about that seeing as it's my favourite time of year.

Ah well.

I've never ever been behind for Christmas but this year with everything going on I don't have all my gifts made and/or bought yet. I must get done!

I hope you're all having a good weekend, stay warm and take good care of each other!

Oh and if you already haven't, go on over to Stardom Awaits! for the Halloween Theme Photo Contest! The voting is open for another week and then we'll announce the winner(s). Thanks!

PEACE!
Love Jude
