WEIRD WEATHER

I swear Ma Nature just doesn't know what she wants to give us for weather this year. Going from highs in the 80's down to the 50's in a couple of days.... then frost every morning for a week..... then cold and snow..... then sun and warmth.

I guess I won't complain though, at least for now it's warmed up and maybe just MAYBE we'll have year 3 in a row without snow for the kiddies on Halloween.

I took some shots of my front yard on Sunday, and I was thinking these could very well be the last ones of the year, before winter sets in.

Leaving work last night, I commented to sister Pammie how at last I can smell the autumn scent of leaves on the ground. I love that smell!

Last week it was so cold and slippery from some snow and ice that I couldn't walk to work and needed a ride (as I do every winter). This week, I'm back to enjoying the walk in.

Through all that frost and some snow, I am surprised that so many of our flowers/plants are still alive. Especially the roses! Perhaps some things are just like me ~ stubborn.

For the second year in a row, our department's managers are taking us out for a Staff Appreciation Night. Last year they took us out for an evening at a dinner theatre (I'd never experienced a live play before) and this year (tonight after work) they're taking us out for dinner and a Murder Mystery night. Should be fun!

Tonight's happening will be taking place at Fort Edmonton Park's old Selkirk Hotel. Last year sister Pammie and I spent a couple of days on a photo shoot at Fort Edmonton Park, and one of the buildings I got a few pictures of is that very same Selkirk Hotel.

I've also never experienced a Murder Mystery "Who Dun It?" before. Most likely it was the butler.....

In other news, I got my root canal early last Thursday morning. I have to go back in a month for the permanent filling. It seems to still be a bit infected, and I'm still on antibiotics for it. Hopefully that will go away soon!

I hope you all have a good week and that your weather is as enjoyable as it is here. Take good care of each other!

PEACE!
Love Jude
