GOODBYE TO ANOTHER BABY GIRL
MISTY (August 17, 1997 - April 6, 2010)
Today we lost the second sweet little angel, the last one. Misty has been suddenly sick again like she was briefly one month ago, and today we found out from the Vet that she had cancer; a couple of large tumours making it impossible for her to eat or drink. These past 2 days she has been a very sick little girl.
I went to the Vet's with sister Pammie this afternoon to spend some time cuddling with Misty and then when she looked tired out Pammie asked the Vet to come in and we helped her to go Home. Now she is once again with her lifelong friend and companion she has been missing these past 5 months, LadyBugs.
We are heartbroken, and quite a bit in shock. Our house, which since we moved into it in 1992 has never been without the beloved puppies (Misty came 5 years later), is feeling quite empty. My heart aches for Pammie, and it hurts because I miss them both sooooo much. I know they both loved me as much as I loved them. Goodbye Little Bum, you were such a good little girl.

Unfortunately I can't stay home again tomorrow as there are a couple of things I really need to be on the job for, one of which is a staff meeting after work that greatly involves me. So if anyone is wondering why I'm not online until later tomorrow night you'll know why.

Judles my heart goes out to you and Pam. I'm so so sorry to hear about Misty. It is never easy to lose a loved one but take some comfort that she and ladybugs are together again. Give Pammie a big hug....

My sympathies...I still haven't been able to bring myself to write a proper eulogy for Shredder and Tigger.
One of these days I'll be able to do it...

I'm so sorry to read about Misty. It's so sad when you lose a beloved pet. Sending hugs to you and Pammie.
Aww, how sad for you and Pam to have lost Misty & LadyBugs within months of each other. Losing a pet is never easy and it does leave an emptiness both physically and emotionally, but I'm sure you will take comfort knowing they are together again frolicking up in doggie heaven.

OMG!! I had no idea that Misty was sick!! I just got an email from Ceara asking me if I'd heard, so I headed over here. Judes I am so sorry!! This is such a shock, and so soon after Ladybugs!! I send my heartfelt love and hugs to you and Pam!! Oh Pam, I am so, so sorry to hear this!! Wish I was there for you guys!!

Thanks for the nice post, Judy, and thanks everyone for the support. I felt bad that you had to go to work today, Judy, and I hope your day went okay. I just couldn't go in, so I've done some things around here - cancelled the dog license, threw a few more things out. I'm going to head out to WFL and see if I can find something appropriate for Misty's ashes. Even if I don't, at least it's a good atmosphere to be in. I'll pick up that container for you too. Jude I'm so very sorry to hear this. I understand the pain and loss. It's the most difficult decision you can make as a pet owner.
I will keep you and your sister in my thoughts and prayers. I'm here for you if you need anything.
Thank you everyone, I read each and every comment and from the bottom of my heart I thank you all for your love and thoughts. We miss the girls both terribly but we'll heal.
Jer and Orion I know you've been through this too, and perhaps others here who have commented as well. It's losing a family member, it hurts.

I am very sorry for your loss. Our pets really are full members of our families and are sorely missed when they die.

Ohhh Im so so sorry Jude! She was a beautiful doggie xo Its horrible when we lose our pets but even more so when its so suddenly.
Yes, this loss was a shock as Misty was so healthy and so full of life. We're doing a bit better than a couple of days ago, but we sure miss her. :-(

Jude - I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Misty. Take comfort in knowing that Misty and Ladybugs are at peace and will be waiting for you and Pam at the rainbow bridge.
