BLOG BIRTHDAY (AND LAST) POST
I must say this: I LOVED THIS BLOG! I put so much into it, and tweaked everything just the way I wanted it. There were hours spent on it over the years, and I finally just quit posting much on it once all of my ex-blogging friends and readers went over to Facebook and quit even reading blogs altogether. I sadly bit the bullet and went to Facebook too.
Facebook is where everyone I know is, and where we all keep in touch. I can share my life there just as well as here, and felt that I didn't need to do it in both places when only one place would be read by anyone anyway.
So, having said all of that, I'm NOT closing this blog, I just won't be using it at least for now, other than to keep up my readership on the few blog links here that still post on their own blogs. If one day a bunch of us decide to start blogging again, my spot at Showers and Sunflowers will be here and ready.
So, HAPPY 9TH. BIRTHDAY to Showers and Sunflowers! I hope we'll get to play together again one day! But for now, rest well......

Yup.
Still some of us reading it - I read it via my RSS feed in Thunderbird.
But of course, I no longer blog or use any social media and avoid Facebook like the plague.

I am in somewhat the same boat you are but it has been over a year since I posted anything on my blog. I do not do Facebook, rather afraid of it from all the problems or at least potential problems using it can lead to. I've enjoyed reading your blog and when I do browse through my list, maybe every two weeks or so, I check yours. I should go ahead and post something similar to what you have done. It was fun.
I miss your blog, but understand that FB is where the action is now. Glad that we are still friends and able to keep in touch.

I completely understand. I sometimes look at my blog and I feel guilty. So much work and love and now it's just there. It serves as a gracious reminder now...
