THE ARTISTIC (?) SIDE OF THE HIPPIE CHICK
Hey all! I hope you're having an excellent weekend! Just a short one today, I'm sitting with my Sunday morning coffee and enjoying the fresh air coming in the windows, and listening to the birdsong in our trees. The robins especially are having a songfest in our backyard, lol. Beautiful!
I've been having fun with my new Windows XP, particularly with paint programs that I can now access. So late last night and early this morning I've made a couple of new things for my sidebar. This time it's not Def Leppard related, but something that is also close to my heart and soul, Gay Rights. I've put 3 goodies in my sidebar underneath "the weather, man" (lol, that still cracks me up) The first two are the ones I just made for myself. The third one I got elsewhere but really liked the message. Maybe I'll make one with the same great truth on it for myself. Yikes ~ I'm going to have to get another blog just for sidebar ditties, lol. THIS IS TOO MUCH FUN.
Anyway I was thinking about this heart&soul passion of mine about gay rights last night. I don't know where it comes from, other than it's just logical, and it makes the only sense. It's not like I have a gay brother (I don't have any brothers by blood, just my fellow human beings) or a gay friend here (that I know of, anyway) , and heaven knows I'm as straight as they come. But I do have some gay friends online. And they are wonderful, warm and loving people. Just like the rest of my friends. They're no different!! They are just like us "straights", they were BORN with a sexual preference, just like we heterosexuals were. The way I see it is that God created all of us ~ and God loves us all. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM??? Are gay bashers gonna duke it out with God because He's the one responsible for this?? How silly. Anyway who knows, maybe I was a gay person in another life experience and I know from both sides now how stupid it is to hate homosexuality. Whatever the reason, it's something that I feel very, very strongly about. Go check my little piccy's out in my sidebar. The first two are my own creations. If anyone wants to use them please be my guest, the more straights who openly advocate gay rights the better. And if you think my creations are kinda dorky looking cuz I'm so new at it, then that's okay too, lol. I made them for me and I like them as they are until I get better at it.
Well peeps I'm off to get myself ready for grocery shopping today. Have an excellent Sunday everyone, and take good care of one another....... PEACE!!
