GOD HELP US HELP THEM
I am seeing with my own eyes and yet I still cannot believe what it happening down there....
It is bad enough to see the damage and loss of homes and lives ~~ indeed it is devastating ~~ but to try to make sense of what some people are doing down there is beyond my comprehension. Why are people looting, and worse, further harming others, others who have suffered so much already?? I don't understand. And it pains me to know that they are my fellow brothers and sisters who are behaving so inhumanely.
The devastation from Katrina might as well have been World War III, it is that horrendous. If that were the case, would these shameless and unfeeling, uncaring people STILL turn on their fellow countrymen the same way? Is it only because it was an act of nature that they feel they can be so callous? If it were another nation causing this devastation to where they live......THEN would they still cause further havoc and harm to their countrymen? I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND! And it makes me want to sob.
I want to help. I have no financial means to do so, and I can't go down there to physically do anything. The only tools I have laid at my feet is my faith and my prayers. I especially wish I could help by eliminating those who are causing further harm and devastation.
There are many of us who wish to do whatever we can. One of the many is my friend Vickie, a fellow blogger and wonderful human being. She is raising money for hurricane relief by donating one dollar for each comment she gets. Please go to ALWAYS VICTORIA and leave her a comment.
