WINTER NOT-SO-WONDERLAND

It's been a very strange winter here so far. I know, it's only the beginning of January so we can still get blasted yet with tons of snow and deep freeze temperatures. But that would normally have already been the case by now... way before Christmas. It was so balmy that as you may have seen on a previous post, I was wearing sandals on my feet outside on Christmas night. It HAS gotten colder, enough for the frost to last sometimes all day, although not today! And this week is supposed to be still pretty nice.

Here are some pics I took out of my kitchen and bedroom windows this morning and afternoon:

Same window, there's the garage roof. Morning frost, then afternoon sunshine warms it all up.




The street from my bedroom window. None of the white stuff on the ground is snow, it's all frost.


Hard to believe, and we're certainly not complaining! But I have my parka, scarf and gloves out because winter's far from being over up here.
