VACATION!!!!!

It's official and I've been on vacation since I left work Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. WHEEEE!!!

I have lots of plans, some of it visiting with friends I don't get to see often enough, some of it doing projects around the house, and A LOT of it getting some extra rest and sleep!

One of the projects I'm going to be doing is making those drapery side panels for my living room and dining room windows I was telling you about awhile ago. Same fabric I re-covered my new dining room chairs in.

I have always had a sewing machine and I know how to use one; I always use it for mending. I suck donkey balls at making clothes but I know if I ever wanted to I could learn to be better at it. But I figured how hard can it be to make drapes?? You just have to sew straight lines for seams and hems...... Right???

Well, I'll let you know how that goes when I start it next week.

I've already ordered and have the new rods. They ROCK!

I found exactly what I wanted in the good ol' Sears catalogue.

It's these ones, but in the Black metal. Nice huh?

For now, they sit in their boxes awaiting my non-expertise with a screwdriver and measuring tape.

Now I have to hit WallyMart for thread and rod rings. I think I'll be doing that this weekend or during the week.

Today, we're heading out to sister Brenda's for a birthday party. Her hubby (my onliest and most wonderful brother-in-law) is turning late-40-something on Friday, but his party is today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RORY!

Well kids, I'm off and running. Have a great weekend, take good care of each other, and PEACE!

Love Jude
