WINTERY DAYS

Things have been fairly quiet around the Hippie Chick's house of late, especially after the hub-bub of the holidays. It doesn't seem possible that it's already been almost a month since Christmas!

Throughout the holiday season we had the freezing temperatures that my friends out east have been suffering recently. However for the last while it's been absolutely spring-like here, melting snow and sunny warmth. That all changed today though!!

We're back into frosty winds from the north and at some point we're supposed to get more snow. We've only February now to contend with so it won't be too long until spring is upon us.

Already I am noticing that it is getting lighter earlier in the mornings, and darker later at night. It's always so enticing to know that soon coming home from work in the dark will be a thing of the past for another year!

For me, waking up in the daylight seems much more civilized. In the darkness you need to turn lights on for your sleepy eyes to see, and then it's too blinding. But even waking from sleep and opening your eyes in the daylight isn't too bright. It's no wonder I have had hubby put dimmer switches in a lot of our rooms. Especially the bathroom! Nothing like being blinded in there first thing in the morning! Although not being really able to see myself in the mirror directly out of bed is probably a good thing. *snicker*

How are you passing the time this winter? Do you enjoy outdoor activities, or are you more indoors inclined as I am? When the temperatures are warmer and the sun is out, I do like getting out with my camera. And although I haven't for awhile, I also enjoy strolls around the neighbourhood then.

I hope that wherever you are, you are staying warm and not being hit with colds or flu. So far with the help of my annual flu shot I've managed to stay free of any viruses. Take good care of each other, and have a good weekend!

PEACE!
Love Jude
