FIRST SNOW

The night before, when I went to bed it was raining lightly. The next morning (yesterday, Saturday) we woke up to this.

I guess Old Man Winter found us, and we can't evade him forever! I keep hearing that we're not supposed to get as much snow as last year (we got WAY too much of it) but that it is supposed to be colder this winter. That's okay we can just dress warmer for it, but at least people won't be shovelling daily AND not be able to access their own homes easily because the snow plows can't keep up.

It just stayed cloudy all day yesterday after the night's snow dusting, but I see that this morning it is lightly snowing again. Yep, winter is here!

And did you realize that Christmas is only about 5 weeks away?? In another 2 - 3 weeks I'll be putting up my tree. I'm about 3/4 done my shopping so I won't have to scramble at the last minute, I would hate that. Instead, through the summer and autumn I pick up deals where I see them. :-)

So my favourite season Autumn has finally bowed out and I will have to wait another year for her return!

Have a good week everyone, and take good care of each other!

PEACE!
Love Jude

Everything always looks so pretty with the first snowfall. I hope you don't have a winter like last year!
I guess I better get started on Christmas preparations soon. Thanks for the reminder on how close it is.
Enjoy your week, Jude, and bundle up. :)

Thanks Bobbie, and I hope you are still enjoying some less wintery weather out there? Have a good week!

A little powder looks nice. Now it's Winter! I'm sure that you folks are no stranger to cold but all that powder you got last year was enough to last for many years. Here's hoping that all you get is cold and not tons of snow.

Be careful out there. :)

Wow...love the snow covered pics. That's awesome! One of these days I just may live in an area where snow happens to be part of one's winter. I probably say that now because I'm in the desert...but it could happen, right?

Thanks for sharing. Hope you're having a great week. Cheers & Love!

I definitely prefer summer. Guess that is why I took so well to Snowbirding. We haven't had as much snow as you but we are closer to the Pacific Ocean and it is a great moderator of weather.

As to Christmas, I still think the Christmas season shouldn't start until after the U.S. Thanksgiving which is always the fourth Thursday in November. This year some stores are actually starting the Black Friday shopping madhouse on Thanksgiving night, some as early as 10pm! I'll be sound asleep at that time, thank you.
