FOR MY GIRLFRIENDS
Some of you may have seen this or something similar before. My precious friend Mae had this printed out and framed and gave it to me for Christmas this year, and I really wanted to share it with all of you. I know that Mae won't mind at all.......
One friend's best is needed when you're going through things with your man. Another friend's best is needed when you're going through things with your children or parents. Another, when you want to dance, share, heal, joke or just be........
One friend will say let's pray together, another let's cry together, another let's walk away together........ One friend will meet your spiritual needs, your recipe needs, another your love for movies, another will be with you in your season of confusion, another will be your clarifier, another the wind beneath your wings. But whatever assignment in your life, on whatever the occasion, whatever the day or whenever you need them..... Those are your best friends.
It may be wrapped up in one woman, but for many it's wrapped up in several..... one from 7th. grade, one from high school, a couple from old or present jobs, several from church, some days your sister and on some days it's just the one who would listen without judging.
Men are wonderful, husbands are excellent, male friends are priceless.... but if you've ever had a real good girlfriend, then you know there's nothing like her.
I thank God for girlfriends, those who honour intimacy, those who hold trust, and those who share their back with you when you feel like life is just too heavy.
I thank God for you.
The words we've shared, the prayers we've sent up, the laughs, tears, phone calls, emails, lunches, hugs, caring, the listening, honesty and truth.
Thank you for your friendship.
Thanks Mae.... and thank you, all my other girlfriends, including my blood sisters, who are my closest friends of all. I am so rich!!
