YAWN!!
Howdy peeps, not much happening here I'm afraid ~~ my third day in a row of battling migraine headaches, from the soreness in my neck and shoulders from all the freakin' hacking and coughing. Sigh. I'll get better, it's just a pain, ya know?
SO....... problems with getting the new washer and dryer. Firstly, hubby got the new ones hauled downstairs, but now he can't get the old unit out. He tried but it's just too heavy and awkward. He's gonna need to get some male muscle help, as I'm of no use at all when it comes to heavy stuff. (me and my tendonitis) So there's not any room to move down there at the moment. Secondly, turns out that with the different type we bought, it doesn't use a 220 plug like we have (the old one ran off it), it uses 110, and looks like NOW he's going to have to get an electrician out here as well as the gas hook-up guy...... do we LOOK like we have the money for an electrician too??? NO. SO....... both myself AND sister Pam have a week's worth of laundry to be done, and when will we have ours hooked up to use??? WHO THE HELL KNOWS?? Laundry mat, here we come ~~ ugh. Not an exciting thought, when both her and I are so sick and don't really want to have to go out for that. I'll let ya know how things move along with the appliance saga, but it's not looking good at the moment. I just keep shaking my head.......
Remember just recently my talking about how we were in the deepfreeze with our temperatures? I mean, it was BRUTAL. Well, on top of all the snow we have, yesterday it RAINED all day and night. Real perfect conditions if you like ice-skating everywhere, LOL. And then today, still warmer, but it's snowing like CRAZY.......... geezlouise but what next? Anyway it's mighty treacherous out there right now! But at least it warmed up! I just hauled some bags out back to the garbage, and it's getting pretty deep. I love the snow, I just hope it doesn't get TOO bad, if ya know what I mean!
It feels so weird to be home for so long (I had to call in sick for the week) and NOT be on holidays...... I admit I would love to be home and not have to work for a living, although I would want to have things to do to keep me busy. I miss some of the people I work with when I don't see them, but hey, if I didn't have to work, I could always stop in and see them now and then, right? LOL I guess I just feel so "shut in" cuz it wasn't just a little "week off" at home, I've been feeling pretty shitty the whole time. CABIN FEVER!
I guess I'll feel better about life again when I can stop worrying about plumber and electrician expenses (unkown at this point ~ scarey!!) and when I have my laundry facilities back!! In the meantime, I'm going to have to go enroll myself in some Rocket Science classes just to learn how to operate the new appliances once they're hooked up ~ there's so many bells, whistles, buttons and options, it's exciting but it makes my head spin. Mind you , it doesn't take much, LOL.
Well guys, I guess that's about it, and I'm off to bed to try and get some shut-eye. I hope you all have a good Friday ~~ until next time, PEACE!
