STICKS AND STONES (and Sidewalk Bricks)

Today is my last day of holidays before I trudge back to work, and I'm so bummed about it. I know most people are the same about going back. It wasn't the usual holiday for me to say the least, but I'm grateful for having the time away, nonetheless. I just wish I could have caught up more on some much needed sleep. However, it's not all bad, and one of these days I'll be able to say to you all...."My house is mine again!" LOL

Thanks to my dear friend Vicky, I got myself a good belly laugh when she sent me this. Thanks Vickytoria!

A family is at the dinner table. The son asks his father,
"Dad, how many kinds of boobies are there?
The father, surprised, answers, "Well, son, there's three
kinds of breasts.
In her twenties, a women's breasts are like melons, round
and firm.
In her thirties to forties, they are like pears, still nice
but hanging a bit. After fifty, they are like onions. Onions?" "Yes, you see them
and they make you cry."

This infuriated his wife and daughter so the daughter said,
"Mum, how many kinds of 'willies' are there?"
The mother, surprised, smiles and answers, "Well dear, a man
goes through three phases. In his twenties, his willy is like an
oak tree, mighty and hard. In his thirties and forties, it is a
birch, flexible but reliable. After his fifties, it is like a
Christmas tree."

"A Christmas tree?"
"Yes, dead from the root up and the balls are for decoration
only."

Okay, the window guy showed up Tuesday, he's like an inspector/fixer for the company, I guess. And so far I'm not crabby. He did replace the glass on our kitchen windows, like they originally said they'd have to. He inspected every little thing on every single window, and holy crap, they're actually replacing a whole ton of handles as they were marked up badly when installed. Also, he's replacing several screens, which we complained didn't fit right. He actually found more than we even saw. Good guy, I like him. So it could be awhile yet before they're actually back to do it all, but at least we know it'll be done.

Lexy, you guys were lucky everything was done right the first time I guess.

Anyway I'm a happy camper so far.

And many moons ago, I promised you guys before/after pictures of the very first project started here; our sidewalk. I can't include the front step which was also ripped out (totally caving in) as so far this year all we're going to have is still the temporary plywood one hubby built. The brick one he'll do next year.

And the ever so pretty scaffolding.

What I REALLY can't wait for is to show you the "after" pics of my living room/dining room.

Well peeps I'm off to get some laundry done, and enjoy my LAST DAY OF HOLIDAYS!! Be good to each other and I'll be back soon!

PEACE
Love Jude
