PHOTO CONTEST AND TURKEY DINNER!

This weekend in Canada is our Thanksgiving long weekend. We don't really have any plans in our household, but I'm hoping that the weather is nice enough to perhaps get out for another photo run. And on Saturday it's a full moon too! I'm itchin' to try out my new memory card..... I had a 128 mb card and it would run out of room somewhere between 98 and 130 pics, but with my new 512 mb card I should be able to click off a few hundred or so! WooHoo!

On a humanitarian note, my good friend TRUCKER BOB gave us some disheartening news today, please go on over and leave some positive thoughts and prayers for the lady in his life. Thank you so much.

There were some really awesome entries in the September Opacity Photo Contest, and this sweet photo was the winner!

A young lady from the U.K. who goes by the name of Lillimouse took this one, she is a U.E.'er (Urban Explorer) over there and this was taken on one of her trips. There was a lot more entries this month, and now that summer has past it will be this way every month. If you'd like to check out all of the entries, here is the link: (2 pages)

OPACITY SEPT. PHOTO COMPETITION

Oh and I wanted to share a pretty funny Thanksgiving story someone emailed to me awhile ago:

One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store.

When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and
inserted it into the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven.

When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit some-thing, she
reached in and pulled out the little bird.
With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Patricia, you've cooked a pregnant bird!"

At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry.

It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!

To all of you celebrating this weekend, have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving, and to the rest of you ~ have a great weekend too! Take good care of each other, and God bless.

PEACE!
Love Jude
