WHAT'S TO EAT?????

Nothing I hate worse when I'm hungry than not knowing what the hell I want to eat, you know? I can go stare in my fridge and my cupboards, and although my tummy is rumbling and feeling ill from hunger, nothing appeals to me! This is when I need a personal chef at my house, lol. Tonight is one of those nights, again. Okay I couldn't stand it, so I just went back into the kitchen. I'm now eating dinner while I type. What am I eating? Nutritious, nope not really, but it's the only thing I felt like at all. So I'm having two slices of raisin toast and a cup of tea.
What I really feel like is something more along the lines of a full meal deal, salad, a potato or something with a nice lean piece of meat perhaps......... not too much on my plate, just a small amount of everything. However, that plate isn't already made up and sitting in my fridge for me to just "pop" out and eat, lol. So toast it is. That will do me until lunch tomorrow.

So two weeks from tomorrow, my hubby is going to be 2 years older than me!! Okay, only for 2 months will he be 2 yrs. older..... when on my birthday in April he'll only be a year older again, lol. But I can still razz him about it!! I was thinking, after reading another blog with a similar theme to the entry......... I wonder how many of you would remember some of the things familiar to me from way back when? In particular you ladies, with some of the fashions. Even the guys, do you remember Nehru collars on shirts and jackets?? (those little stand up collars) Or for both genders, how about the "Pea Jacket"? It was always navy blue to my memory anyway. A lot of today's fashions I wore in the late 60's and early 70's. EXACTLY the same styles........ Even a lot of the hairstyles. Most of you won't remember stuff from the late 50's and early 60's, like "skorts". They were these darling little shorts (really the shape of full panties) with a short-short little skirt attached. Or how about matching little coats and hats for girls?

In the late 60's, bell-bottoms were all the rage, today they are called flared legs, I believe? And they were LOW RISERS too! We were all belly-buttons and "rib tickler" tops, little tops that came to just below the boobs ~ Shania Twain made them popular again awhile ago. And we had "peasant tops", I don't know what they are called today but I see them again. I know Janna and I have talked about this stuff before: how about Dr.Schols wood sandals? We wore those with everything, even dresses. And before that, it was suede leather mocossins, which we wore even with dresses, lol. AND WHITE LIPSTICK! OMG, for the last few years I've been watching the lipstick colours getting paler and paler.......

Does anybody even know who Howdy Doody was on TV?? I know some of you might be familiar with The Friendly Giant....... he was around when I was growing up. We had black and white TV's, and "hi fi" stereos, and little portable 45 record players. There were no computers, no video games, no VCR's........no cassette tapes or DVD's, hell, 8 track tapes weren't even invented yet!! And when I was old enough to go to school dances, the dances that were all the rage were the "Jerk" and the "Shimmy". The "twist" had just gone out. And the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and a few other English bands were "IT". Hoooo boy, I've come a long way, baby! Yep, those were the days when "coke" was something you drank, and "balling" was having sex with someone.

Well, it was fun to stroll down memory lane a bit......... I wonder if I've triggered any memories for any of you? I think I'll call it a night peeps, and wish you all a great "Hump Day" Wednesday tomorrow! Take care of each other! **PEACE**

AND NOW..... ANOTHER HORROR SCOPE BY GYPSY JUDLES
"This is a special week, as the sun will be over Virgo's cusp. This only happens once a century. All Virgos will gain weight now this century anyway, so eat all the Twinkies you want. For all signs, this is a good time for pay raises and joining unions. So go ahead and start a strike or have a 'sit-in'. (John and Yoko did it, and they got to stay in bed.) Libras should beware of sharp knives or tools of any kind for the next 24 hours. Especially if you have PMS or your last name is "The Ripper."
