MONDAY FROM HELL

Monday was hellish busy here at the renovation front. We visited an upholstery shop as we need a settee in the bedroom re-done. We brought home leather samples and they will be coming over to give me an estimate. Then we had to go buy drywall to replace the ripped out walls in our living room, and the guys who are doing it started that evening. (they are doing our job in the evenings as they have another job during the days, and we don't want to wait) Then we went around to different paint stores while I worked on choosing a new wall colour for our living room/dining room and hallway. We needed to get the paint fast so it would be here as soon as they got the drywall up. After visiting many stores, we finally got our paint from the first place I recommended to hubby, Cloverdale Paint. CAA members and staff get a 30% discount there, and as it turns out, they were the ones who had the exact colours I wanted in their colour swatches anyway. I chose a nice green and the same green 2 shades darker for a couple of feature walls.

NEW WALL COLOUR

I am quite happy with the colour choices, and I think it'll look just as nice once it's on the walls and the furniture etc. is all back in place.

And another autumn picture.

Ah, I love autumn so much! Here I was trying to capture the emotions of a mix of blue sky and sunshine, and looking this direction seeing dark rain clouds. It made me feel so.....I don't know, attuned with Mother Nature. The tree in the neighbour's yard on the far left is the apple tree that hubby and I get gifts of apples from sometimes. And the bush to the right of it is a lovely lilac that in the spring looks so beautiful from my kitchen window.

You'll notice I deliberately did not take a shot of our own backyard. It's strewn with renovation leftovers and huge stacks of bricks that hubby is going to use to make a pad to park his truck on in winter, at the very end of our back lawn against the alley.

There is no rest for the wicked around here, busy busy days and then back to work for me Wednesday!

Oh, and just to add to my last post about gay rights...... I saw this on my blogging buddy Orion's blog today, and this says it all!!
"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." (Yoda)
I know it was related to something entirely different, but it fits! Thanks O, you da man.

PEACE to you all, take care of each other!

Love Jude
