VACATION!

I must be getting lazy in my old age. After 37 years of working for a living, I'm awfully sick and tired of it, even though I went to part-time when I took this job several years ago! You know it's pretty bad when you exist for days off.

And LIVE for vacation every year! Three weeks at home, now that's the ticket. And that's where I am right now, starting yesterday. Yay!

I sure could get used to being retired. I have been thinking, "only 10 more years to go Jude", as they will automatically retire me at 65 where I work. But when you think about it, 10 years is a veeeery long time! Talking to someone the other day got me thinking though. You may already know this but it's something I just never found out about until now; apparently you can have an early retirement at 60, your pension payments are just a bit smaller.

What does this mean?

It means, she says gleefully, that I MAY only have to wait FIVE more years! I'll have to look into it of course, and see what kind of drop in pension amounts we're talking about, and if it would be enough for me to live on, pay bills etc.

Who knows? I may be retired in JUST FIVE MORE YEARS. **grins**

In the meantime, for now I'm going to enjoy this 3 weeks at home, and I plan to be completely and unabashedly lazy.

Some things can't be left though, and one of them is what I need to start now. Laundry. I'll be lazy after.

I wish you all a great weekend, take good care of each other!

PEACE
Love Jude
