I'M LOVIN' IT!!!

Oh yeah baby, it's my "Friday" and that's a good thing, cuz as usual, I'm POOPED. I worked full-time all my adult life basically, and now with this job, I'm doing only 3 days as long as I can pay my bills. I couldn't do a full week now without hurting myself, I'm sure!

It was so much fun going back in time in my last post, and a couple of people brought up some other stuff too. So I thought I'd add a couple more goodies tonight! Does anybody remember when Eric Clapton was in "Cream"? Man that band rocked in their day! "White Room" was a verrrrrry cool song! Or Steppenwolf?? Now they were one of the first "metal" bands and they were good too ~~ and of course we all know Led Zeppelin, one of the greatest........ and then followed 'our boys' Def Leppard, who of course I think are the best there's ever been. In the late 60's another band called "Paul Revere and the Raiders" was another one I really loved ~ my sister Linda and I particularly liked them.

And back to the subject du jour for all you fashionistas........ did anybody else wear those "salt and pepper jeans" in the mid 60's?? They were skin tight when we bought them, and we STILL sewed the legs even tighter, lol. They looked gray in colour, but they were really black and white tiny dots. EVERYBODY who was a cool teenager wore those! And we can't forget the munster boots of the 70's, that was mostly around the disco era, which even though I was the right age for it, I HATED it. Couldn't stand either the music or the fashions at that time! PTUI!! I thought it stunk, lol.

I still say, for me at least, some of the best music (not excluding the late 60's, early 70's) came out of the 80's........ and the most excellent fashions as well. What I loved best about the late 60's early 70's too was just the way it was back then........ it was just a really cool time to be young and alive. Long haired guys were common place and I loved that, and flashing the peace sign at everybody was a friendly and positive way of greeting others. There was so much universal concern for loving our neighbours and brothers among the younger generation, and it suited me. There were downfalls of course...... every generation has them, and most of them are common denominators. But I loved it, and had I been just slightly older then (maybe 18 instead of 16 or whatever) I could have easily become one of those hippie-type flower wearing it's all about love gettin' back to nature young women. I still think even today that there is a lot to be said for "communal living", although I'm not talking about the "free sex" etc. that came with it then. Oh, Nostalgia! LOL

Well dudes and chicks, I'm outta here for tonight. I hope you have a great Thursday ~ take care of each other! PEACE!

AND NOW..... ANOTHER HORROR SCOPE BY GYPSY JUDLES
"The latter part of this week brings two major events. One is Pluto rising, and the other is Kling-Ons circling Uranus. This is a good week to stock up on toilet paper. For Sagittarius, your mood will change from bad to worse, as someone's 'kling-on' falls into your Cornflakes. Eat toast instead. All signs will be lucky in love for the next 14 1/2 minutes, so go to it. Born on this day: all Aquarians. Go figure."
