OF COWPIES AND SICK DOGGIES

First off I wanted to share this funny with you........

I thought it was pretty funny anyway! Much as I hate flies and think they are dirty and disgusting creatures!

Well I can't "not" blog about it anymore...... this household has been stressed to the limits over the last few days and today ain't any better. To some people, their pets are just that, "pets". To others, like sister Pammie and I, her little doggies Misty and Lady, are like "kids" and you know what? I couldn't even BEGIN to try to describe to you how much I love those two little darlings. They are, as I've described in my blog's photo album, the absolute lights of my life. Pammie took them both in last weekend for their shots and to have their anal glands expressed. The vet found some lumps around Lady's anal glands and suspects that it is cancer. Pammie and I have both been crying and stressed to the absolute maximum since then, needless to say ~ especially poor Pammie, as they are her kids and she loves them so much. On Tuesday I left work early to go with her to take Lady in for blood and urine tests. Yesterday neither one of us could barely get through the day just waiting for the results. He finally phoned her to say that surgery was a go, and that is happening today. He had said that if the blood/urine tests came back with poor results that they wouldn't even do the surgery. That's what we were so terrified of hearing. So, at least that's ONE hurdle we've passed. Now the poor little tyke is in having the lumps removed and of course Pammie went through a little hell of her own just having to drop her off their this morning and then go to work for the day. She's awaiting a call from the vet to see how things went. And I can tell you that we are both stressed to the maximum waiting. I have been trying so hard to be there for my sister and keep cooking for her at nights just so she'll at least eat something. I haven't told her how when I'm alone I just cry lots, worrying over the health of that precious little dog that I love more than I could ever describe. Anyway we're both just waiting now to see. Please, if you are so inclined, say a little prayer for Pammie and for her Ladybugs......... thanks. You have no idea how much that would be appreciated in this household, as we understand completely the power of prayer. (this is Misty and Lady laying on my bed ~ Lady is the black one on the right.)

Okay, I have to change the subject so I can see the screen and the keyboard!! We are getting the rain we so badly need here, as it's been so dry and dusty. Spring rains are lovely, they smell so fresh (well at any time of the year really) and they clean everything up after the snow melt has dried everything up and looks so dirty. I'm hoping that we get a good couple or few days of it and then some sunshine to green everything up.

That's about it for this time everyone ~ wish us luck, and take care of each other...... until next time, PEACE be yours!

Love Jude
