VICTORIA INTERVIEWS THE HIPPIE CHICK

It has been a very busy week at my house ~ as hubby does some inside things (we're doing some renovating) and makes messes, I follow behind him TRYING to keep up with cleaning up the messes. More to come though, much, much more. Yech and Bleh! It will be lovely when it's all done, I tell ya. Next weekend (not this one) my brother in law and his two older boys (18 and 20 I believe?) will be coming out here to help hubby re-shingle our roof. It's gonna be one noisy and busy weekend. I think I should pack a bag and spend that weekend at the Keep Your Sanity Spa and Inn. If only!

Lately there are a lot of memes, quizzes, questionnaires etc. going on in the blogs, and I promise I won't keep doing nothing but those ~ but in the meantime ...........

A fellow blogger, Vickie, put this idea out and when she was interviewed on her blog, I rather liked the way I got to see another personal side of her. I agreed that this might be a nice thing to do on here, as it allows others an opportunity to learn something different about the personal life and personality, beliefs etc. of the person on the other end of the blog. So here we go, I had no input into the questions, just so you know, and I'd like to thank Vickie for this opportunity for some more fun and friendship!

Hello Jude,Thank you so much for wanting to play along and allowing me the opportunity to ask a few questions so I and others like myself just might get to know you better.

Victoria: 1. Crayons are one of children's favorite items to play with currently the company makes more than 120 different crayon colors as well as an array of materials to stimulate children's creative development offering products that sparkle with glitter, glow in the dark, smell like flowers, change colors and even wash off walls and other surfaces and materials. You have just been contacted by them and asked to produce a new product, please describe the new product you would develop in detail and name it please. Make certain to name this new product.

Jude: I think it would be wonderful to see something along the lines of a game that teaches manners to young ones. I'm talking things like learning courtesy and sharing. Perhaps this game would involve "what should you say if....." items and the child gets to move ahead in the game when they say the correct thing, like "please" or "thank you" or "excuse me please". It would also have examples of "what should you do if....." and the examples would be about bullies and strangers, to teach them safety. The game would definitely involve children of different race and colour in the pictures. I would perhaps call the game "Teach Me!"

Victoria: 2. Since you are from Canada and I am from the USA, I would like to hear from you what is your opinion of the USA and our invasion of Iraq? Does your opinion differ from the minority or is it the same?

Jude: The first part of this question is easy ~ I have American friendships and I don't find them any different than my Canadian ones, I cherish them all! I've visited the U.S. many times over the years and have always enjoyed my stays there and found everyone to be friendly and pretty much the same as people from Canada. I consider our neighbours to the south great people. The second part of the question took some thought. I am NOT a political person in any way, shape or form. It doesn't matter to me what the country, whether Canada, the U.S. or anywhere else..... every country has leaders that aren't always popular, and I may disagree with some aspects of their leadership, and like others. That subject, and the invasion of Iraq or any other potentially controversial political subject, is just something I don't wish to get into. But I will say that most of you already know my views on World Peace and human rights issues. Those human rights issues don't just mean gay rights for me, but extend to women's rights, children's protection, and basic human rights all over the world as well. It is difficult to know that a country's leadership represses it's people, abuses it's women and children and gives them no rights at all. For another country to step up to the plate to go in and help them by toppling the reigning power has humanitarian implications, but the way things are done and the entire agenda has meaning too. It's a touchy subject. I certainly don't ever wish to alienate any friends by being EITHER for or against a political figure, that's not where my heart is in any of it anyway. I believe that one of my jobs on this earth is to do my part by prayer and positive thought, and quietly planting seeds of hope, healing and example. That is a huge part of who I am and what I do. I just can't do any better than that.

Victoria: 3. You have just been notified that money is no longer an issue in your life how would this change your life and what type of changes would it bring about. Please describe them in detail.

Jude: Oh my, this would indeed be a wonderful thing! I'm positive that my answer to this question wouldn't be very different from most people I know! The very first thing I would do would be to make sure that my family would never want for anything, I'd share the wealth with them. I think then I'd take them all with me on a lovely trip somewhere (like England?) to enjoy ourselves on a visit there while I decided what to do with the rest of the money. For sure I'd do the obvious things, like pay off bills and buy a new home, and I would be able to retire from working. But also I'd give to some of my favourite charities, and travel a little, maybe once a year or so. Some of you know that I teach meditation, healing and clairvoyance. I have had training, of course, but one of the things I would love to do is visit the Spiritualist Churches in England, there are more of them there, and that is the Church, the Faith, that I belong to. I would persue further training in those churches in order to better the training I give here. It is all for the common purpose of helping others in need, and teaching others to help even more people in need. I have always said that I'd do volunteer work to give back to the world, and there would be a few things I'd like to get involved in. So, to answer the question, it wouldn't change ME ~ the person that I am, but it would bring about many changes in my life in regards to what I can do to help loved ones and charities. And.....of course I'd worry about finances less, so I'd be more relaxed!

Victoria: 4. You have encountered people who have left an impression on you and have lead to you making some changes in your life. Who would you say is the one person other than a family member who has made the biggest impact on your life and why.

Jude: Wow, that's a good one. There have been several people in my life that have had such positive influences on me....but seriously, I'd have to say the one who impacted my life the most, would be my late husband. It was 10 years ago that he suddenly passed away, and I have since remarried and I love my husband. But even though one can and does move on and build another life; it does not mean that your past is just wiped out, and that you stop loving the ones who have left you behind. Fortunately for me, my husband understands that, and when we were first together, he wanted to know all about Gary, and what kind of person he was. I have, as I said, moved on and built another life ~ but I won't ever lose the love that I had for my late husband, nor will I ever feel that he isn't a part of my life in it's entirety. To answer the question: when Gary passed away, I honestly didn't believe I could ever carry on, and at first I didn't really want to, it was that painful. But after some time went by and I found acceptance and healing, I began to understand that Gary's passing was the beginning of my spiritual journey, one that will never end, and I'm grateful for it. Gary actually gave me a gift in his passing ~ many gifts in fact, and these things are something I thank him for almost daily, and will continue to do so for the rest of my lifetime here. He was a spiritually and emotionally strong man ~ and I found that taught me to find those same things in myself, using him as an example. He was extremely funny ~ and I soon found myself leaning on that and found my own humour again through it all. There are many things, as I said, but those are two excellent examples. He impacted my life tremendously while he was here with me, and it continues to be so since he has left. And of course, combine all of that with my faith, and with family and friends, and I've had a TON of positive influence in my life. I am very, very blessed.

Victoria: 5. What emotion do you find you have the most problem with and why do you consider it an issue for you. How can you work on correcting this or do you really want to?

Jude: Oh my, that's not as easy a question as it appears! Short and sweet, but full of "wow"! LOL I would have to say "Fear" if I was really honest. All negative emotions actually stem from Fear. Fear of not knowing or understanding something can bring about, for example, situations of anger, racism, prejudice, etc. etc. There are some things in my life in particular that confound me. I don't know why I have them, but I have what appear to be "unjustified" fears of a few things, which to others can sound strange......two of which are driving a vehicle (I told you it was weird!) and of wasps. Did I perish in a horrific automobile accident after being viciously stung by hundreds of wasps in a previous lifetime?? Whatever the reasons, for no obvious ones, I have acute fear of these two things. I've had to live my life around them, by choosing not to drive (I did drive for 3 years and had my own car, many years ago. It was so difficult for me that I finally sold my car and never drove again.) So out of choice, I don't have the personal independence I may have had with my own wheels. And during summer I am so uncomfortable outdoors if I see any evidence of wasps, that I will stay inside as much as possible. Fear is also a factor in another emotional issue I have... confrontation. I have never, and may never, be good with confrontation. I tend to always be the one in the crowd who wants to make everything all right, be the mediator. If I so much as see two people arguing heatedly, my knees literally shake and I feel terrified that someone is going to get hurt. I don't understand it all....but I know it stems from Fear. Your question ended with how I would work on this. I have actually been trying to work on this one (confrontation) for several years now, and I'm a little better at it than I used to be. As far as the driving and wasp issues....heaven only knows what I can do about that ~ hypnosis?? The driving issue is a non-issue with me really, as I'm quite comfortable with that anyway. The wasp thing ~ good grief I wish I could do something about that one! See, you may have learned some new things about me today, afterall! LOL

Well that's it folks.....I hope it wasn't too long and drawn out, but I wanted to answer the questions as clearly as I could so you would perhaps gain some new understanding of what I'm about! I now invite you all to take part in this interview process as well, so that I may get to know you better too. If you are interested, here are the details:

1) Leave me a comment saying interview me please.
2) I will respond by asking you five questions. ( not the same as you see here.)
3) You will update your blog/site with the interview questions.
4) You will include this explanation and offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5) When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Wow, this took me awhile, I admit! But it was interesting to do, and Vickie, you are really making me think, and bringing me out of my shell a little....so thank you once again for this opportunity!

Okay I am off to start my TerrorTwins of the Laundry Room ~ and some more clean up around here. I want to wish you all an excellent weekend ~ for some of us here in Canada it is the August 1st. Long Weekend. It's not a statutory holiday only a Civic holiday.....so not everyone gets it. Luckily for me, my company gives us this Monday off with pay! So whether or not your weekend is a long one, have a really great one, please take care of each other and yourselves. Until next time, PEACE to you and yours!

Love Jude
