BRRRR!!!!!!!

Holy icicles it's COLD out there! lol Must be winter, peeps! I'll try to do this as accurately as I can.... we just went from around 40 degrees F. yesterday to..... I think it's about 5 degrees out there right now with the wind chill ~~ the snow is light, but it's blowing sideways and is COLD. Too bad too, cuz Monica and Shane are having their wedding "do" tonight, which we just got home from. I'm glad we left early, as we had to drive clear across the city and the roads aren't exactly bad yet, but it's not fun. So their reception was FABULOUS ~ they are such a darling looking couple, so good-looking and vibrant...... and you can tell that they are best friends, which is so wonderful. Monica's baba (grandma) made the feast for the dinner, which was all Ukranian food ~ YAY!!!
That's what I grew up on and it's my favourite, by far! (second fav would be turkey dinner) So we had "to die for" perogies, cabbage rolls, and garlic sausage. ( no, I don't mean we had to die to get to eat, why waste such glorious food on us then, lol) It was sure yummers!
Unfortunately the gift opening won't be until later tonight, so I won't be there to watch them. I was hoping to see their faces when they opened our gift, but that's okay, I just hope they like it! Oh, Albert just yelled from the other room, on T.V. it says with the wind chill we're sitting at -24 degrees Celsius now, which would be about.... 4 degrees F!!
Shiver me timbers maties...... and the REST of me too!!

Just had an I.M. conversation with Debs..... her chart says our -24C is about -10F, mine says it's about +4F, and I checked another chart on the internet and it says -12F, which is about what Debs' said. So guess my chart is goin' in the garbage!! SORRY DEBS YOU WERE RIGHT AND I WAS WRONG! lol (poor Debs is sick, I hope she gets better soon!!)
**update** I am noticing that even the weather chart here on my blog is listing temp conversions the same as my chart, which I thought must be wrong..... it is saying right now that +5 F. is -15C. SO WHICH CHARTS ARE RIGHT FOR GAWD'S SAKE??? Sheeshers!!

Not much else to report here in the Great White North tonight..... so I guess I'll don my snowshoes and head out of the igloo to settle the dogsled team in for the night.....give 'em some whale blubber to chew on to keep 'em warm...... okay, okay, so it isn't THAT bad..... it just SEEMS that way when it first gets colder! Especially since we've had such a warm winter so far. Really it's not so bad...... yet?
Stay warm everyone, and take good care!! PEACE!

Love Jude
