A BLOG POST FULL OF LOVE

I know that I've sent this via email to some of you, but I just saw it again and it is such a moving story that I just have to share it with everyone who may read here. It's enough to choke anyone up, even if you're not a dog lover, like I happen to be.

(Nice Story - Beautiful Picture - Meaningful Kiss)

The photograph below shows a Doberman licking an exhausted fireman. He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire. She is pregnant. The firefighter was afraid of her at first, because he had never been around a Doberman before. When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest. A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The Observer," noticed this Doberman in the distance looking at the fireman. He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do. As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him, just as the photographer snapped this photograph.

Some people say animals are dumb.

I decided that it would be a good thing to take before and after pics of some of the house renovations, and this morning I went out and snapped a few off of my hubby preparing the way for our new front walk. I also took a pic of our front step which is caving in. One of these days we'll have a new step, all done in brick, at least that's what we're planning to do with it. So when it's all done I'll post the before and after pics!

Not long ago, my very best pal Michele and I made plans to take today and sit it aside just to spend together. She took the day off and I got stuff done yesterday that I would normally have done today. So the entire afternoon today was spent, just the two of us, in her lovely home and out on her back deck, amongst the flowers and trees. She made us lunch and we talked, and just enjoyed each others' company with beautiful classical music playing in the background, mingling with the soothing sound of the breeze in the leaves of her trees. That girl has the power of an Angel to me ~ she got me centered and grounded again, which is what I was in dire need of; and she doesn't even have to try. She's just that way, bless her. By the time she brought me home today, I was feeling better. Thanks pal, I love you more than you'll ever know. (I am so blessed with the beautiful people I have in my life.... I know I say it a lot, but dammit, I really mean it!)

Enjoy your weekend everyone ~ God bless, take care of each other, and PEACE to you and yours!

Love Jude
