THE PAINTERS HAVE COME AND GONE

They came at 9 a.m. and left around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. They had already freshly painted my ceilings the day before, and now they just needed to do the walls.

The "before and afters" of my wall saga, finally!

FROM BAD TO BETTER
Hubby had the insulation in, then they drywalled, finally they painted. This is the "lighter" green paint I chose.

OH AND NOTICE THE SCAFFOLDING IS GONE OUTSIDE THIS WINDOW? *GRINS*
In this picture, you can hopefully see where I chose to have a darker shade of green on some of the walls. The wall to the right is darker than the window wall, and it carries on into my dining room.

KITCHEN / DINING ROOM
Here is the darker colour. It's such a shock to see colour for a change, and I love it!

Sunday: rented a steam cleaner for the carpet, cleaning carpets Sunday and Monday. Then I'm back to work, so in the few days following that: put all our furniture and things back together in the living room dining room. This means places to sit again!! It also means all my other rooms change back to normal, from having all the other stuff piled in them, with little "paths" to walk through them. And hubby needs to put the curtain rods back up for me (these ones are really complicated) and I can launder and re-hang my drapes everywhere. We will have privacy again, yay!

It's getting closer. I'm going to have my house back again sometime.

Just, please God, no more surprises.......

Tomorrow being Thanksgiving in Canada, we are off work and we will be moving the furniture to the carpeted areas just cleaned, so we can clean where the furniture was. The only other carpeted area to clean is the steps up from the front door. That should be a real hoot. While hubby finishes that, sister Pammie and I will run out and do the grocery run for the week. The carpet cleaner we rented must be back by 6 p.m. Hopefully we will have an early night. I am so tired. And on my next days off I will be able to clean the other areas of the house where all our stuff has been piled up in the middle of rooms for the last 8 or 9 weeks. That will be a job and a half but it'll be SO NICE when I've got it all back into ship-shape again. It's been such a long, long time.

Well peeps I have to try to get to sleep again (got up as hubby has the Snoremaster dial cranked up to high......again) so have an excellent Monday and take care of each other!

PEACE
Love Jude
