HOWDY FROM THE GREAT WHITE NORTH

While a fellow blogger, Kurt in Florida, is talking about having to take a "shivering" walk on the beach during their cold front of 50 something degree F. weather, we here in Alberta are just relieved to have it warmed up to be around 28 degrees F.!! LOL That's okay Kurt I realize you aren't acclimated to the cooler stuff there.... we hardy northerners could probably follow in the footsteps of the....is it Swedes??..... who run out naked in the snow and jump into freezing water ~ for the physical 'benefits'!!! YIKES. Even I couldn't wrap my brain around doing that...... Talk about frozen bunyakas!! But yes, as you can see by the weather box on here, it is no where near what it was several days ago, and thank goodness for that! Not to say we won't get more of it, but the first time each winter it plummets is hard to take at first, even for us.

Got through yesterday, me and my sisters.....actually I tried phoning my sis Brenda but wasn't able to talk to her. (she's the only one left who hasn't made an appearance on here, lol ) I hope she fared as well. It helped to post about it and just have the day at home to think and remember Mom in a quiet atmosphere.

An update on the work situation: okay if you've followed my rambling dialogue on this subject, you'll know that we're awaiting the yay or nay for an Accounting Office (formerly known as "cashroom") in our new place. The final plans have to be in right away, and yesterday was supposed to be the "big day" ~~ my 3 bosses met with their 3 bosses (the regional managers), and it's one of those regional managers who is the naysayer on this, which has been my daily source of fear/anxiety/stress etc. Well!! They met yesterday, and HE WASN'T THERE!! So, there's still no decision reached, however there were some concessions made as to what floor space I could take..... and they've given up a 9 X 12 space that was allocated to a "small shared meeting room" space ~~ keeping in mind there's already a HUGE meeting room going in. So...... my "main" boss (one of my most favourite people in the world, she's such a beautiful person) talked to me on the phone yesterday, told me about the new 9X12 space that we "might" be able to get......and asked me to design what I'd need for an Accounting Office in that size space. I'm so excited about hoping again!! LOL That doesn't mean it's a done deal, as "you know who" still has to give it the okay as of yet....... but I spent several hours last night trying to come up with something that will work for us in that small space, and I've come close a couple times but haven't got it yet. I must try today (in between laundry loads...a woman's work is never done!) to get something workable and get it scanned and into her. We're running out of time for when the final plans must be in. So that's what I'm going to sit down and get going on again once I finish this post!

I am still waiting for more peeps to post pics of their Christmas trees!!! Do most of you put them up later in December??? (obviously real trees can't go up too soon, even I figured that one out ~ ) but hey if it's up and you have a blog, please post a pic! There's nothing so pretty as all the Christmas outdoor lights up in the neighbourhoods and seeing people's trees lit up in their windows.......I wish it could be Christmas all year long! Well okay, maybe without the WEATHER all year long though...... heh heh...... YOU HEAR THAT UP THERE?? I DIDN'T MEAN THAT, OKAY?? (yeesh! watch it Jude!!) Now if we get some sort of really freaky weather system that lasts forever, everyone's gonna KNOW it was ME!! ****Woman, 52, killed instantly several times by 1,048 drive-by shootings simultaneously. Weather related. Film at 11 !"****

Well peeps it's been really nice to have this chat with ya, but I must run, the washer/dryer combo beckons me, as does the design problem. So you all take good care, and have a great weekend! Until next time.......
PEACE !!

Love Jude
