CAPTION CONTEST AND MERRY THANKSGIVOWEEN

As the sun was just about to slip down under the horizon tonight, I caught this in my kitchen window. The light hitting the trees was absolutely amazing and beautiful. It just gave me tons of Zen!!

ANGEL LIGHT

Of course now that I've got it on here, you can hardly even see the brightness I'm talking about, dammit! But it was beautiful, believe me. You have to ignore the mess in the backyard, and you can almost see hubby's head working away out there....

Okay these were cute, (thanks MammaE.!) and the first one came without any caption. So I'm holding a contest here. Give me your caption for the first picture and give us a laugh. I've included a couple of my own for starters.....

"DON'T TELL ME IT'S MINE, IT'S GREY!!"

Or....

"I DON'T CARE TO HEAR HIS "TRUNK" WAS LONGER!!!"

This one came with it's own caption. Boy, is SHE in trouble!

Today the window people came out and re-installed all the stuff that was less than perfect. Hopefully that's the last we'll have to see of them. AND.....I finished painting all the window frames today!! Now whenever hubby gets the door frame back on, I just have to do that. Well, and the door itself.

And for all of you that have been complaining (and rightly so!) about how Halloween stuff goes on the shelves in August, Christmas stuff in October, etc. etc., here's a brilliant joke that my dear friend Monica sent me. Enjoy!

How true huh?

We got a Home Depot flyer in the mail yesterday, and there is a ANOTHER set of 4 light fixtures on sale. (the last set I got at Walmart, all lamps) This is 2 more flush mount ceiling fixtures that actually compliment our new living room ones very nicely, plus a dining room chandelier/fixture thingy, and one lamp. All one set for $119 for heaven's sake! So as soon as it's too dark for hubby to work outside (which should be in about.....5 minutes, lol) we're going to have a look see. We desperately need a new dining room fixture. Mine was here when I moved in 13 yrs. ago and it looks like *coughstringartcough*. It's howlin' buttugly. So I better get ready to go, don't forget to "enter" the caption contest!!! You all have a good Thursday, and take good care of each other!

***UPDATE!*** We bought the lighting set, here is a pic of the 2 ceiling lights and the dining room one, taken off the box.

And this is the lamp that came with the set, which I've set up already.
