GOD BLESS YOU, ROSA

A great, great lady died yesterday. Rosa Parks gave millions of us inspiration and pride. I was only 3 years old when she stood up for her rights on a bus, but I remember hearing the story over and over as I grew up. Go on over to VAN'S blog to read an excellent post about this beautiful soul.

This week is leading up to some fun times for those of us who like All Hallow's Eve...

Getting ready for some company this Saturday. Sister Pammie is having her annual Halloween Dinner, where she makes cool dishes with ghoulish and grisly names, like Fingernail Salad and Baked Brains. AND, we're doubling that up making it a belated Birthday Party for our bro-in-law Rory. So here's the deal:

Pammie still doesn't have living room furniture down stairs, but she has a kitchen with a big old table. I on the other hand, still don't have my dining room set up yet, but I DID haul a couple of end tables and my new lamps into my living room so that it can be kinda-sorta used. So, we'll be eating downstairs in Pammie's kitchen, and then coming up here to hang out in my sort-put-back-together living room. No drapes up, still tools and ladders all over the place, but HEY it'll work!

Well it's a day off for me today and the ONLY day this week that I'll be able to try and catch up on some sleep. So folks, I'm off soon to have myself a nice afternoon nap. Hubby is working outside on a project so it'll be peaceful in the house. Have yourselves a grand ol' Tuesday and take care of each other!

PEACE
Love Jude
