ANOTHER TEST POST (sorry everyone)

Blogger still hasn't answered my request for help, but there's been some answers to a similar request. Apparently they are working on fixing a problem where some images are being deleted. So I'm doing another post trying it a different way again. Please bear with me, I just need to get a bunch of images and text in here to test it out, and I need lots of images because the problem seems to happen more often with mulitple images not just a few. FINGIES CROSSED DAMMIT!!

Still Having Blogger Problems

I just tried again, but can't post a series of images here. It will let me post one or a few but even that's "iffy".

Just so you all can see what happens when I post several images, this is a screen print of what happens. Everything disappears except my sidebar. When I delete the new and offending post, all the old posts come back again.

Blogger must be going crazy right now. There are SO many requests for help it's nuts. Hopefully that means something will get fixed soon. I think the autosave feature may have to either be tweaked or scrapped entirely.

Happy Memorial Day to my American friends! I'll keep ya all "posted".

Blogger Problems?

Sorry folks, I've been trying for 2 days now to post some pictures and it just won't work. I've posted about it in the "help" section of blogger and in doing so I see there are many people having similar and other issues. It seems a lot of it started when they added the new "autosave" feature.

I have always had a "Practise Blog" which I use when setting up a new blogskin or trying new things. I just posted the exact post of pics on there and it works like a charm. Same blog template..... everything is the same. ARGH!

I'll keep trying to get this resolved and I'll stay in touch/keep you posted.

Take care of each other, and have a good weekend.

PEACE!

FLOWERS, ROBINS, AND THE TRAVELLING BEAR

As most of Trucker Bob's blog friends probably already know, he's stopped somewhere long enough to make a few posts over at In The Drivers Seat. His stories are over there, and here is a wee map showing his excursion so far:

Yes it snowed where he is in northern B.C., but it's gone now and the sun is out. In another couple of days he's saddling up Big Bear again and is off again. Tally Ho, Bob!

And further to my recent posts here, the flowering bushes and trees we have in our front and back yards are still making headway. The MayDay tree and Flowering Plum out back are pretty much almost at their peak now. But the stuff out front is just beginning.

The 2 new Flowering Plum bushes out front:

As you can see, they have the same pretty pink buds as the big one out back does.

And our garden variety Sumac is just beginning to show it's awesome coloured leaves unfurling.

The last of the trees in our yards to get leaves, the 2 Russian Olives are beginning to show their new icey-gray-green leaves sprouting! Complete with a little spidey web:

We have 2 different Cherry Trees out front, this 5 yr. old one has gorgeous scented white flowers in spring, and green leaves year round. The new one is a maroon coloured leafed tree but so far doesn't flower except for a tiny little green thingy. This is the older one here:

And this is the new one, it's leaves will turn a burgundy or maroon colour again this year. Here you can see the little green "pods" I was talking about, on the bottom right. I loved the way the sun is caught in the right of the picture too:

And out back, our beautiful flowering MayDay tree. It is so pretty, and smells so heavenly when in bloom like this:

It's tentacles branch out up against the side wall of the garage, and tangle themselves around the light fixture. I love the way this looks:

And standing underneath the beautiful flowers looking up:

And back out front, in one little patch of garden up against the house, there are many textures and different shades of green already showing in the ground cover plants hubby put there last year.

This one is my favourite:

Still a bit of filling out to do on this one yet:

This one still has pockets of water left over from the rains:

If I'd known I would catch a little wasp or bee in this one I would have run away instead of shooting it:

*****************************

My job from hell work days have officially ended as the lady who was away for 5 or 6 weeks on a cruise to Australia is back to work next week. So we have one more body to fill some shifts now, and once the girl who is away getting married is back the following week, it'll be even better. Next week at least, I've been given a reprieve and I'm only working the usual days with 4 off.

AND...... in Canada this happens to be our Victoria Day long weekend, so Monday is a holiday! Couldn't have come at a better time, I'm so exhausted I've actually been feeling ill. However a nap today and some days off after Tuesday should help that.

This past Thursday the 17th. was my hubby's and my 10th. Wedding Anniversary. We went out Saturday night after I got off work for dinner. We hadn't tried the Outback Steakhouse so we decided to go there, and I had the Filet Mignon. YUM! The food was great but too expensive, and the restaurant itself was so noisy we could hardly hear ourselves talk. And the booth we were in sucked, the seats which were padded had NO padding, and the light fixture was hanging at a level that the bare bulb was right in my eyes, enough so that hubby was joking he'd tie it up and point it toward the wall and out of of faces. But all in all it was an enjoyable feed, as I said the steaks were excellent.

I'm off and running and wishing you all a fabulous weekend. Take good care of each other!

PEACE!

WAITING

While waiting for the now green and leafy trees in our front and back yards to flower, I've still been getting the odd shots of Spring in here and there.

Here are a few I took in my backyard tonight.

I love the look of nature's greenery coupled with old buildings and old wood.

The Bishop's Weed is filling out nicely. I really like this up against our rustic looking fence.

The MayDay tree is showing the beginnings of some blooms, but soon the whole tree will look white.

The same tree has suckers creeping along the side of the garage, and I like the shadows among them in this shot.

And the Flowering Plum is finally getting ready to bloom with its lovely pink buds.

My collage of before/after spring pictures is getting closer now to being done. As soon as all the trees are in flower...... I can't wait, they look so pretty and smell so nice!

And more waiting..... yes we're waiting for our first installment from TRUCKER BOB on his long awaited trip up north. The plan is, as he stated in his last blog post, that he will be phoning me this Friday morning at 10 a.m. to give us the goods. Not sure at this point yet whether there will be any pictures or Dorky Videos, as he'll have to sit somewhere with internet access long enough to load all of that sort of thing into his Photobucket account. But I shall pass along his first report as soon as I hear anything! And I'll leave it up to him whether I'll be posting on his blog or here on mine. Either way, I'll alert everyone on both blogs where to go.

Until then, have a great week everyone and please do take care of each other.

PEACE!

PHOTOGRAPHY UPDATE (finally)

"PUPPY LOVE"

"WINTER 2006 - 7"

"CHRISTMAS 2006"

I haven't found the time to update my photography website until recently, so since last autumn's pictures went up I've now 4 updated albums on there, "Christmas, Winter, Puppy Love and Visions". They are at the top of the list called "Updates 1, 2, 3 and 4. The above shots are taken from each of the 4 new folders.

You can see them at VISION QUEST, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Take good care of each other, and until next time.......

BUNNIES, GREENERY AND SUNSETS

As I've mentioned before, we often have one bunny who likes to hang out in our front yard. She's been here for years. She'll bolt at even someone walking down the public sidewalk, but when we come into our yard she's skittish but she won't normally run away. I think she kinda trusts that we'll just leave her be.

Last night as I was tucking hubby into bed (he goes to bed much earlier than I, he gets up earlier for his job) I looked out the bedroom window and saw TWO bunnies in the front yard. Grabbed my camera and tried to get semi decent shots through the window.

Then I realized there were FOUR bunnies, not just two!

All munching merrily away on our grass.

They're all a little skinny after the long winter we had, with so much snow covering any ground food.

I decided to get pictures of them through the living room window as that's more the side of the lawn they were on. As I carefully opened the window drapes, they took notice and sat up to watch me, resting in the garden but not eating anymore.

I'm pretty sure this is the "mamma" bunny that thinks of our lawn as her second home. I came home in the dark the other night and she was in her old spot almost where she is in this picture. She didn't bolt when I came up the walk, she just moved onto the lawn and watched me go into the house. This one lets us get a bit closer to her than most will.

She even had left one of her babies in this spot a few years ago while she was off food hunting. My hubby was weeding around this area when he spotted the baby, and like a big frickin' dummy he picked it up. **rolls eyes** Of course, the baby got frightened out of it's wits and ran away. Silly man.

And with both some sun and rain, the leaves are finally starting to show themselves around here. These are all of the MayDay tree out back.
