JUST FOR LEXY

Look what Jude found for Lexy to see:

WHAT'S THIS?

WHY IT'S A PENGY FAMILY!!

"HI MOM AND DAD!"

They're solid brass, and I've always had them in my bathroom. My hubby uses the bigger one to hang his pony tail holders on.

Oh yes and I did get my tree up! You can still see all the decoration bins, they haven't been put away yet.

A CLOSE UP

WE'VE GOT SOME SNOW

Far cry from this 2 months ago, huh?
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Ahhh, I miss my favourite season already.....

We have been getting tiny snowflakes all day today, so there's more on the ground now than the above picture. But it's too dark out there to show you, so you'll just have to believe me. Afterall, have I ever lied to you? It now is enough to go "crunch, crunch" when you walk in it. Winter is definitely here folks, check out the temperature on my sidebar.

Well I'd better go put my brass Pengy family back in the bathroom where they belong. Lexy did you hear them? They were singing Christmas songs for your Pengy family. Honest, have I ever lied to you?

DECEMBER LINKY LOVE!!!

Hiya folks! Today I got my Christmas tree up, I'll have to take a picture and get it on here next time I post. But for this time, yessiree it's that time again, and tomorrow is the first day of a new month where we link you up with some of our fellow blogger friends, so you can go check them out if you already don't visit there!

This month:

YAY!! My sister has finally decided to get back into the blogging biz after no posts since...last July I think. I told her now that I'm linky loving her she better keep it up too, so hey what's wrong with a little sisterly threat now and then, right? LOL Okay a little about her seeing as I know her so well she deserves a big description..... Oh and before I do that, I'm stealing a pic she just posted yesterday on our back deck. It's just a fabulous bit of photograpy, it says so much:

"Snowshovels ready and raring to go! I think they look a wee bit disappointed that they aren't required just yet..."

She's my youngest sis, she lives in my house in the downstairs suite (been 15 yrs. now altogether) and she's my sis/bestfriend kinda thing. You know, we go shopping together all the time and share the odd meal etc. And SHE'S my standing "date" for Leppy concerts! WooHoo! (we're actually more like the "Twisted Sisters" but I won't get into that) Pammie was extremely busy moderating on a website and just didn't have enough time to blog anymore. Well, she quit the moderating thingy and she's baaaaa-aaaaaack! Please pop in over at
PAMMIE'S to tell her you like me better howdy!

And what would a terrific blog-read be without stopping at this next lady's place? I tell you, this Canadian has the talent to write columns, novels, you name it! And she's funnier than hell too....which endeared me to her immediately. Remember when I linky-loved Lexy in October? These two remind me so much of each other it's ridiculous. Really, I have this suspicion that they're sisters or something. So, for a good time, call 555-4567 pop in at
JAY'S and be sure to tell her "Jude made me do it!!" LOL

Next on the list this month are a couple of guys who I've recently made blogfriends with, and they're both terrific people.

This guy is a computer whiz and all around genius when it comes to that sort of thing, and he's got GREAT old music on his blog too! I've gotten to know him from over at Orion's site (linky loved him in September) where I and a few others are guest posters. What fun that is! He is the "other" male over there who tries to keep a tactful peace when us crazy women posters there get crazy or raunchy, whichever comes first. Please pop in at
BILL'S to say hello and "Jude sent me!"

Lastly but certainly not leastly, here's a fellow who is a retired trucker and lives out on the west coast in B.C. This guy has a terrific sense of ha-ha and likes to tease lots. But we love him anyway, LOL. He's got a link there for his pictures and you must see them, beautiful stuff of his travels!! He's a cool dude, please haul on over to
TRUCKER BOB'S and tell him Jude sent you to tease him back!

Enjoy these blogs, I visit them every day!

Oh and I've been seeing the odd blog sidebar that has this little goodie I made in my paint program:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Some time ago I had invited everyone to go ahead and swipe any of the ones I made on my sidebar to use for promoting Gay and Lesbian rights, so it's really GREAT to see this one being used. Thank you for getting the love out there!!

ZERO, ZILCH, NADA, NUTTIN' BITCH HONEY

I need to post something, your eyes are going to go bad looking at those scrolling pictures on my last post. But I can't, I've been housecleaning and have company coming over. I need to try to clean up where hubby has finally taken some more shit out of the living room and dining room. I just sat down for a break to get off my feet for a bit, and now I need to get myself ready. OY VEY don't wanna see the hippie chick lookin' like this.

So, sorry, nuttin' much entertaining here today. Please come again when we can both stay awhile though, I promise I'll be back. Have a super day!

WAY TOO FRIGGIN' MUCH FUN!!

I saw this cool happening over at MELANIE'S BLOG and I thought, "well Jude, you know how to marquee text, why not do the same thing with pictures?" And I just HAD to get in here and try it for a giggle!

Tribute to my favourite band in the whole wide universe......

Oh, wheeeeee!! This is too much fun! Okay....

A tribute to the Hippie Chick....

WHOA. Kinda hard on the eyes, but hey you get the drift. It's fun to figure out how to do something different with simple HTML coding. What Melly did on hers was different but it gave me the idea, and what the heck it's a hoot!

Okay that's the fun and games in the hippie chick's household tonight. So, GOOD NIGHT!

LIFE LESSON

I just read this in Readers Digest and I felt it was so very much worth sharing....

LIFE LESSON

A professor stood before his philosophy class and placed some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, he picked up a large jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes". The professor then produced two cups of tea and poured the contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now", said the professor, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - your family, your children, your health, your friends and your passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter, like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else - the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the important things. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner to dinner. Play another 18. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and asked what the tea represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of tea with a friend."

This professor is my kinda dude. I wish all my teachers had been like him!

If you're south of border from me, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and ate at least ONE bite of white meat for me. Yum yum. I'm back to work tomorrow, I'll post again soon....... take care of each other!

YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!

Well, the link below the pictures, that is, but first......

SUNSET IN MY BACKYARD 4:38 p.m. TODAY

I don't care WHO you are, you will love this!! Check out the job someone did on their house with christmas lights, set to music. And this MUSIC rocks! I love it!! Oh man would this drive the neighbours crazy.........mind you, if my neighbours across the street had this, I'd sit out there for hours watching and listening, and probably dancing to the tunes!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SONG AND DANCE

This is too cool, I'm putting this link up lots till Christmas so everyone sees it. Thank you Monica my friend for this one! *muah*!!

***UPDATE!*** Thanks to my commenter Robin, I now know who the musicians are who this FABULOUS piece belongs to: They are the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, or TSO, for anyone who didn't know that, like me. They're on tour through the U.S. right now (in N.C. this past week Trace!!!) and the only Canadian date I see is waaaaay east in Toronto! Too bad for me! Here's their link if you're wanting to check them out: TSO Thank you Robin!

I was going to try to be "tasteful" and post this only after my American friends Thanksgiving is over, but hell ours was last month, and Christmas IS only a month away, right? So regardless, I hope you are all having a good Turkey Day down there, and eating waaaay too much! Enjoy, and for those of you travelling, Godspeed and come home to us safe and sound!

PESKY HO

It's been kind of hard to keep my eye on RatHo when I'm at work, but once I was home for a few days, I decided I'd better follow her around the house and see what kind of no-good she's been getting up to. I tell ya, things haven't changed much.

OOOH, MA'AM HAS BEEN SHOPPING

Get your claws off my new DVD, Ho (Oh some of the band's commentaries are hilarious)

MAYBE THIS CHRISTMAS GIFT IS FOR ME?

Sorry but um....no it's not, maybe I'll get you a muzzle though. Heh heh

I followed her around the house and sure enough her mind was on her #2 reason for living. Food.

WHAT'S COOKIN', MA'AM?

*sigh*

DO THESE TASTE LIKE CHICKEN?

Um, probably. But get your dirty little claws out of my fridge!

I swear, she has learned to open it by herself, the little food thief!

OOOOH, SALAD!

Only if you want to eat silk, silly! Get out of my tree RatHo!

OOOH MAYBE THIS ONE?

Touch my aloe vera and I'll poke ya with it!

BINGO!!! MA'AM IS MAKING BANANA LOAF!

Having satisfied herself that she'll be able to sample my baking later, she waddles off to find her #1 reason for living.......

OOOH HUNKBEAR BABY, TAKE ME TAKE ME TAKE ME

HunkBear is really a good little guy, just easily swayed by his young male hormones sometimes. All I had to do was give him "the look" and he decided he'd better try ignoring her.

**PSST PSST PSST**

She whispered dirty little sleeze remarks in his ear. Even HunkBear was shocked, look at his expression!

What a tramp! That was it for me, and you can guess where she is now. In my favourite RatHo place, standing in the corner for a time-out. And I'm able to sit and relax before bed.

Geez maybe I should scrap the muzzle Christmas gift idea and get her a chastity belt...

To my U.S. friends......HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Have a good turkey feed!

A little bragging here about my home, my province of Alberta. We have this:

WORLD'S BIGGEST INDOOR MALL (here in Edmonton, just down the street from my house too)

It has this in it, cool huh?
It's actually a big wave pool too. And when the famous come to our city for concerts etc., they always spend some time in this mall. I heard Def Leppard did!

And in our province of Alberta, we have this:

CANADIAN ROCKIES

AND MORE...

AND SOME MORE...

Patty knows, she lives here in Alberta too. And Trucker Bob, he's been through here in his rig many a time.

Pretty here, huh? Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com
